A Vision Born from a Passion for Every Child.

The Monarchs Preparatory was born from a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves an opportunity to discover their potential, receive quality education and grow into a person of character and purpose.

Located in Ngararia Ward, Kandara Sub County along Kaburugi–Naaro Road, The Monarchs Preparatory was established in response to a growing need for quality, child-centred education within the local community. The school was founded with a vision of creating an environment where children are not only taught but are also understood, nurtured, encouraged and challenged to become the best version of themselves.

Our journey began with a dream to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in the community. We recognised that education goes beyond classrooms, textbooks and examinations. A truly transformative school must develop the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally, morally and physically.

It was from this conviction that The Monarchs Preparatory was established.

More Than a School

From the beginning, our intention was to build more than just a school. We wanted to create a community of learning where every child feels valued and where parents and teachers work together to give learners the strongest possible foundation.

Our educational approach is guided by the principles of the Competency-Based Curriculum and Competency-Based Education. We place emphasis on developing practical skills, creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, problem-solving and strong values.

We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. Our learners are therefore encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, solve problems, express themselves confidently and learn from their experiences.
